Criminology: What is it and who is it for?  With Vanessa Barker and Máximo Sozzo. These two scholars have been at the forefront of rethinking what it is we study in criminology, challenging where we study it, and encouraging us to consider how we might renew the discipline.

A year ago our lab partnered w/ Hyperobjekt to share our research on prison pay-to-stay with the world, continuing our work to abolish the practice. Since 2016 we’ve tracked how states sue people to pay for their own prison time. Follow Captive Money Lab for updates!
