Planning for Law and Society 2024 in Denver is happening & the CRN is looking to sponsor a New Books in the Field panel. If you have a new book, plan to attend LSA 2024, & would like to participate in this panel, fill out the google form just circulated via our email listserve!


We have 3 new books lined up and we'll need at least 2 more to submit a CRN sponsored panel for Law and Society 2024! The google form is still open--ping Natalie Pifer & Dr. Ashley T. Rubin if you need the link.





Early registration for the 2024 Law and Society meeting in Denver ends today, 12/20/23. And, consider renewing your Law and Society membership as well (most memberships expire 12/31) while you're in the system.

A year ago our lab partnered w/ Hyperobjekt to share our research on prison pay-to-stay with the world, continuing our work to abolish the practice. Since 2016 weâve tracked how states sue people to pay for their own prison time. Follow Captive Money Lab for updates!
