BASH: Do you believe that the federal govt has a responsibility to ensure that all children -- special needs, rich, poor -- have access to quality education? LINDA MCMAHON: That is certainly the goal of the president (Not a "yes"!)

A “game-changing idea” that HAS ALREADY BEEN TRIED AND FAILED. Literally. It didn’t work and will never work—because every student is different, with different needs. But when you know nothing about education, like Vivek Ramaswamy, this idea seems good.

Student outcomes began dropping around 2012, and I’ve seen many blame the Common Core. My retort has been consistent: More likely, it was the Ed Tech. I’m pleased to see Jonathan Haidt echoing the theory in his latest. (Link below) More on my thesis: The CCSS arrived in K-12 at

Having veteran teachers on staff is huge. Young energy is also needed, but a lot of crazy things happen because there are no respected, veteran educators on staff to pull people to the side (teacher, principal, parent, custodian, or student) and quietly say what needs to be said.

5% of your state tax dollars are going to private school vouchers in AZ— despite voters overwhelmingly rejecting universal vouchers?! The Republican majority continues to write blank checks for vouchers for the RICH at the expense of public schools, healthcare, roads & more 😡

How do we expect young people from battleground childhoods to suddenly come into our schools and "behave well?" This is often misread in schools as being disruptive & challenging behaviour, & we try to punish them into a better way of being. What they really need is support🧠🌱

💯 OPINION: “Arizonans need to look closely at the original intent of the [ESA voucher] program — to aid special needs children. It was never intended to provide financial assistance to families who wanted to have their children take piano lessons or karate classes.

We’d never label adults as the “low group” for needing scaffolding, so why do we do it to kids? Support should lift, not limit.

Investigation finds "parental choice" schools do not operate in a public manner like elected school boards. “It’s frankly astonishing to me that anyone would propose the massive sort of spending that we’re talking about in these school voucher programs with, at best, minimal

You might think the Trump administration’s cuts to the Department of Education are a good thing. You might think they’re a bad thing. But most people seem to agree that something big is happening here. Episode 14 of Sold a Story is available now. apmreports.org/episode/2025/0…
