Much to digest after a week discussing grad ed with sector leads from the US, Canada and NZ. The CAGS / l'ACES conf in Victoria showcased innovations in employability and supervisor engagement, while the group of FULL PROF @JuliePosselt at USC in LA are sooo goood on recruitment !

In line with last year's commitment, Doctoral School is continuing to align its PhD stipends with the net RLW. Following last month's announcement from Living Wage Foundation we're pleased to confirm this now means a FT rate of £19,722 for 2023/24 (ie £1,100 above the UKRI stipend level).

We're delighted that UKCGE Chair, Prof Doug Cleaver, had an engaging and useful trip to the Canadian Association for Graduate Studies (CAGS / l'ACES) Annual Conference. We look forward to further opportunities to share knowledge on postgraduate developments.
