Shocked and saddened to hear this news. James Goldrick was a first-rate scholar and a true gentleman. aspistrategist.org.au/remembering-ja…

In WWII, the Allies used the 'Hedgehog' anti-submarine weapon to devastating effect. It was a cluster of 24 spigot mortars fired ahead of the ship, creating a spread of explosions to destroy German U-boats. The Hedgehog was highly effective in securing victory at sea.

In this book I am building on the work of other historians such as Nick Hewitt ⚓️🇺🇦🇹🇼 whose excellent Coastal Convoys 1939-45 provides the full overview of the multi-faceted German effort against Britain's coastal trade. This book is about the S-Boat threat and its negation 1940-45.
