This play from James Cook will probably end up largely forgotten given how the game ended. But man what an effort & finish from him

James Cook bouncing his runs on Duo could feed families. Especially this one with the insubordinate & churlish stiff arm Also, nice torque frontside from Alec Anderson (70) & downfield block from Mack Hollins (13)

James Cook making something out of nothing for a TD Also, watch Mack Hollins’ (13) block on the outside. Chops down McDuffie’s inside arm (snatch & trap esque) and then stays engaged

This whole sequence is fantastic -Mike White (14) calls out the pressure look/48 hiding amongst the DBs over the bunch -The Bills OL all peek over in unison -48 stands up and moves in like he got found out -White rolls away from the pressure for the TD

Tyleik Williams (91) dropping the knee vs a double team and, along with a slight hold/turn of the RG, keeping 52 clean to make the stop on 3rd & 4

Two things here: 1) Grant Stuard (15) plays like his fast forward button got stuck 2) Nikola Kalinic (88) burying the CB on the perimeter

Looks like HBO got all the content they needed for episode 2 of Hard Knocks and told Cook he could go back to practice *joking, please don’t yell at me*

Feels like the football gods thought the Buffalo Bills brought imbalance to the force by having Hyde & Poyer for years, so now they’ve plunged that position group into chaos & instability

Apologies folks! Day job got in the way tonight but we’ll be back at it Sunday night after Bills vs Bears. And then back again Tuesday 8/19 immediately after episode 3 of Hard Knocks (no jinx)

We’ll see what the final details look like from an AAV and guarantees standpoint, but James Cook appears to have done well for himself The $12m AAV slots him in with some good company (image below) as does the total $48m value of his contract (tied with Jacobs for the highest)

The Buffalo Bills have a very good OL. And James Cook is a very good fit with the multiple concepts they lean into in the run game. But what isn’t talked about enough is how much he makes plays above the scheme. Almost to the point where you can bake that into the scheme

Would love to see what happened behind the scenes recently with the James Cook negotiations. From the perspective of both Cook and the Bills front office. Interviews, details, timelines, stuff like that. If only there was some sort of documentary crew following the team
