#Nature is helping me cope with the #grief of losing my husband so I drove over to Milton Keynes this morning for a walk around one of the lakes. I wasn’t expecting to see #dinosaurs 😱😁🦕🦖

Met up with a childhood friend at the garden centre this morning; we’ve known each other for nearly 60 years. She lost her husband four years ago so we were able to chat about the practicalities and emotional impact of #widowhood . I treated myself to a miniature pampas grass.

You realise how lonely you are when you open the fridge door just to talk to your penguin deodoriser. Sorry, just feeling a bit sorry for myself #grief #bereavement #widowed 💚🐧

Spent 2.5 hours this morning making a start on painting the internal walls of the double garage. Got the workshop to do when that’s finished. Keeping busy is helping me deal with the #grief of losing my husband #bereavement #widowed

My sister phoned me at 1015. She was in bed waiting for her husband to bring her a cooked breakfast. By that time I had had breakfast, cycled for 40 minutes indoors, done a load of washing & hung it out, did a quick two mile round walk to the Co-op & painted two fence panels!

If you're tidying the garden this spring, remember to carefully check for #hedgehog s & other #wildlife before mowing grass or tidying wild areas - as they're ideal places for a #hedgehog 's nest!

This pigeon was found covered in a sticky substance with his feet tangled up in a plastic bag. We were able to cut the plastic off his feet &, using Ease off, removed the sticky substance from his feathers. Please remember how damaging plastic, & other litter, can be to wildlife.

I’ve just shifted these granite setts from where they were stored at the top of the garden down to the patio as I’m giving them to my neighbour. Crikey they’re heavy! I’m 70 in June, perhaps I’m getting too old for this lark 😁

All the jobs I used to share with my late husband I now have to tackle on my own. Made a start painting some fence panels and the garden side of the garage, shed and workshop. Only about another 20 fence panels and the front and driveway side of the garage and the workshop to go!
