Today, Piotr Wilczek, the Ambassador of Poland to the United Kingdom, presented the Bene Merito decorations to Agnieszka Grzybowska and Grażyna Ross during a ceremony at the 🇵🇱 Embassy in London. This honorary badge is awarded in recognition of mertis to promote Poland abroad.

Today, we commemorate #BlackRibbonDay. It was set on the anniversary of the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact signing, which tore apart Central and Eastern Europe between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. We honour those who died under Soviet and Nazi German terror.

Marking the 85th year since the signing of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, we reflect on the profound consequences this dark chapter had for Poland and Europe. This secret agreement led to the partition of Poland and the onset of WWII. We honour the memory of those who suffered.

Today marks 80 years since the Łódź Ghetto liquidation. From 1940-1944, over 200000 Jews, Sinti, and Roma were confined there; fewer than 12000 survived. Visit "Capturing the Ghetto" at the Jewish Historical Institute in Warsaw to learn more about this story of resilience. 📜

Honoured and privileged to attend the 63rd Ceremony of Homage to Fallen Polish Airmen today. We remember with deep gratitude the bravery and sacrifice of the Polish heroes who fought for freedom in the skies during WWII. Their legacy lives on.

44 years ago, the August Agreements were signed in Gdańsk. This historic event led to the creation of "Solidarity," a movement that paved the way for the fall of communism in 🇵🇱 and inspired change across Central and Eastern Europe. A pivotal moment in the fight for freedom.

On 1 September 1939, German troops crossed 🇵🇱 borders at dawn without a declaration of war, thus beginning the Second World War.   Today we pay respect to those who suffered under Nazi German and Soviet terror.   We will never forget the price they paid for freedom.

As we mark the 85th anniversary of the Nazi German invasion on 1st September 1939, we honour Poland’s resilience in the face of unimaginable adversity. This dark day reminds us of the enduring importance of unity, vigilance, and the defence of freedom.

Today starts the 33rd annual Economic Forum in Karpacz. The three-day event will feature leading figures in Polish politics and business. This year, the conference focuses on the future generations, with its theme: "Time of New Leaders—Shaping the Future Together." 📊

Today, we celebrate the life and work of Jerzy Ficowski - a poet, translator, scholar and promoter of Bruno Schulz's oeuvre. Ficowski had an eye for talent - it is thanks to his efforts, the wider audience got to experience Papusza, a Polish-Romani classic poet and singer. 📜

I had a highly productive discussion with Amb. Valerii Zaluzhnyi regarding Polish and Ukrainian cooperation with the UK, as well as key international issues. I reaffirmed Poland’s steadfast support for Ukraine’s defence and its Euro-Atlantic integration. Embassy of Ukraine to the UK
