A wearable 'ear-clip' device that delivers electric pulses could be used to reduce blood pressure: Prof Alexander Gourine CCMN UCL Neuroscience UCL Biosciences shared his team's ongoing research in CheltSciFest discussion with Prof Mark Lythgoe CABI thetimes.co.uk/article/20-ele…

Additional data on the intracranial baroreflex ! Nice work in Journal of Physiology ! Fiona McBryde physoc.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…

My recent paper supporting evidence for the existence of an intracranial baroreceptor detecting and regulating cerebral blood flow 🧠🫀 Please give it a read! physoc.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11… Journal of Physiology British Heart Foundation

New study in Journal of Physiology shows how the brain regulates blood pressure! Intracranial baroreceptors respond to pressure changes, triggering BP increases to maintain #cerebral flow. Using #OxyLite, the team showed pO2 dips were minimal, ruling out hypoxia. physoc.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1113/JP…
