More than willing to sign up to this. Stories from African bishops Lambeth Conference Official confirm this couldn’t be more urgent. Urgent action is needed to prevent famine now and in the future. Sign the East Africa Hunger Crisis petition today. christianaid.org.uk/get-involved/c…

Just sat through a master class in how to engage emerging generations with God’s story. No music. No notes. No lighting. No games. No props. No cultural references. No funny illustrations. No one moved. A few hundred teens were captivated. @BpBurnley The CofE in Lancashire (Blackburn Diocese)

Almost ALL staff on BBC Local Radio have been placed at risk of redundancy today. Many may be moved to new roles. ALL presenter roles are closing. Presenters will have to re-apply for new on air jobs. I think it would be fair to say we are stunned and upset here.

One of the core themes of Jesus’ message: ‘stop using the law, religion & God as an excuse to be awful to each other.’ If he was right, & you come across any version of any religion that requires you to stigmatise, ostracise or exclude others in the name of its God, it’s a fake.

A singer (who will remain anonymous) just got in touch to say they sang to a certain famous bully (conductor) today and ‘it was a horrendous experience’. This happens countless times a day across the professional choral scene. Those of us that can must continue to make noise.

I'm an NHS mental health doctor. I was a mental health patient. When I was unwell I felt like ending it all. But it was a mental health nurse who helped to save me. Make no mistake, mental health nurses are lifesavers like physical health nurses & deserve the same recognition.

I found Archbishop of York’s display of raw emotion during the press conference this morning deeply moving and hopeful. We have had so much fear and so much hurt for so long - I pray this new openness and straightforward honesty will help us all heal.

We are all so proud of you. Dignified as always. And you have a big wall of support from us all for who you are and what you do.

#MorningPrayer As we come before you Lord, let us never be focused on our position or achievements, our reputation or standing in the world, but on our status as your children, our need of your mercy and forgiveness, our assurance of your love and your acceptance of us as we are.

The awful plan to house asylum seekers - inc’ children - on ferries, barges & military bases, has nothing to do with sending a message to these desperate & vulnerable people, or the gangs that prey on them. Instead it’s all about sending a message to voters ahead of the election!
