Good morning at #Grimley with Craig Reed and Gary Evans. This Dunlin, Black-tailed Godwit and 2 Great Eggret at CLP. Whinchat, Lesser throat and Redstart at Retreat farm and finally 2 Hobby at Church Farm.

It's not every day that you watch a Large Eneralsd (I think) fly up the street and land on a wheelie bin.

Long-eared Owl fledgling spotted at Offaly County Council, Áras an Chontae today. We were recently alerted to their presence by local birdwatcher who had heard them. However, today was a first with super views of this 🦉 and its sibling at their daytime roost! Tnks to Dan Singer for the 📸

New Trumpton fire brigade just dropped.

So lucky to encounter 3 Otters on the river at Trimpley this morning. I suspect a mother and 2 young, one was often calling to the others. Sharp eyed people may be able to spot a fish one of them caught.

As well as my luck with the Otters, my first Shoebill in the UK too.

Found this in Kidderminster cemetery this morning. The closest match I can find is Convolvulus or Pine Hawk-Moth. When I wrangled it onto a leaf it appeared to strike as a snake would, presumably to discourage birds. Forgot to take a side view as usual. Worcs Wildlife Trust Richard Lewington

Fairly confident of Tree Pipit for this bird at Low Habberley, unfortunately didn't hear it call as it flew from one tree to the other. Interested to hear others opinion of it

Nothing mega in a couple of short visits to Puxton marsh this morning, but first returning Teal of the autumn, 2 Reed Warblers, Raven over and a brief glimpse of a Water Rail made it well worth while. No large Shearwaters for me unfortunately.
