Sneezeweed blooms from July to October and is a good species to plant in your garden to help #pollinators as the weather starts to get chillier in the fall. The yellow #flowers are highly attractive to #bumblebees, native solitary #bees, #butterflies, hover flies, and beetles. 🐝

Despite the common name "sneezeweed", these plants do not cause seasonal allergies! The name comes from the old tradition of grinding the leaves and creating a powder to induce sneezing to cleanse the mind and body.

It may be Labor Day but the honeybees are still working. They need to finish storing 60 pounds of honey to have as food in the winter. Many hives make much more honey- and thankfully that’s what the beekeeper can take. Check out PhillyHoneyFestival and order your honey today.
