Just look at those angels on the hammer beams.
Recently restored, the entire building is well worth a visit.

Enhanced 3D #Lidar with vertical exaggeration shows that the 'sheep pen' may have had internal ramparts and external ditches.
The rounded corners showing nicely even near the (I suspect) later cut drainage ditch leading to the stream left.

Here's a little gem I've only just discovered.
The complete factory complex of Galgate Silk mills, Lancaster.
An earlier Corn mill (behind me) was converted to a Silk mill in 1792. This 5 storey extension was built in 1851.

This is a ‘Designed Landscape of the Recent Past’ and shows nicely on #Lidar .
The #Crawick Multiverse, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, is built in an old open cast mine by landscape architect Charles Jencks.
The Sun Amphitheatre is central to a number of features.

In the same way #Lidar produces images with height, Sonar produces the same for depth. This is a newly discovered #Hillfort in Doggerland, once raised land now under the north sea, 137 miles NE of Cromer. Will be fieldwalking later. #HillFortsWednesday - ish
