Lots to like in this piece but I’m not sure I accept the need is supporting VC’s to find their voice, rather VC’s helping univeristy staff, academics, students and wider civic communities to use their voice.

Agree strongly with this piece but the challenge is that it means that VCs & universities will need to drop their position of assumed 'institutional neutrality' which, as I argued earlier in the year, is a hypocritical and non sustainable argument. see: wonkhe.com/blogs/universi…
