Happy NY to you too. This is especially an attack on PGRs as we more often have partners/families. Alongside reduction of PhD funding options that cover international tuition fees, it's harder & harder to be a migrant PGR. I moved here for my PhD in 2019; I couldn't start it now.

While UnisResistBorders #WearAMask #BordersKillKnowledge is taking a much needed rest period, we can't rest until Muhammad reached his target goal of £3,700.

Money raised helps Muhammad with his daily survival as he battles the Home Office to remain in the UK.

Not only are Queen Mary University of London making the headlines today for stealing staff wages, but they appear to be refusing to follow #FOI legislation.

I have asked for an internal review of their decision not to release the requested information.

As a funded PhD student (on a small stipend which barely covers childcare) you’re not eligible for the full 30 hours free childcare when your child turns 3 either. We're now consulting members on a 'final' pay offer. Sadly our employer is still prioritising higher increases for senior staff, and has rejected our compromise proposal which would benefit lower-paid staff by distributing their offer as a flat sum instead of a 5% uplift. 1/6
