Probably the best eDNA story so far…now out in Current Biology. Owen S. Wangensteen and Sandra Garcés Pastor found Limnognathia with eDNA in the Pyrenees in 2016. With Katrine Worsaae Gonzalo Giribet and I they used the eDNA results as a treasure map and found specimens of “the rarest of the rare”
