Flying 1st Class? Then why take the shuttle when you can take advantage of our complimentary airport Shittle™️? Not only does it guarantee you'll never be caught short, it can empty on an economy passenger of your choice.

Another way of looking at the proposed APR/BPR changes - imagine the Government creating a law where 1 in 30 of all UK businesses are required to pay HMRC 20% of their total value. Every business is put in that lottery every year, even if they paid it last year. If that sounds

Reopening a 3.3-mile train line to Portishead from Bristol took 79,187 pages of planning documents. Printed out, that’s 14.6 miles of paperwork - 4.5 times the length of the actual railway. The process has taken 16 years.

Really pleased to have a long meeting with Victoria Atkins today on the changes to APR & BPR. She was bang on top of her brief and really understood the impact and implications for farmers and businesses owners. It seems clear there will be no clarity in July, with draft

Just. Wow. As we went over Mexico and the U.S. this morning, I caught this sprite. Sprites are TLEs or Transient Luminous Events, that happen above the clouds and are triggered by intense electrical activity in the thunderstorms below. We have a great view above the clouds, so

It's a superb resource Sarah, so valuable to farmers and vets alike and a great example of how cooperative working between industry and Government can really benefit all of us 👍

Oh. Right, so this bit of the cock up that is known as the peat map of doom (by me) is actually in their final report… - they knew it was very different from the old maps but (and I quote) ‘the apparent difference in overall area was in line with our expectations’ What?

Can you imagine being some poor kid pumped full of drugs, waking up to a strange noise, and what you see is a horse, but the wrong size, and it looks like a nurse is trying to feed it a piano?

This was my favourite role that I held at AHDB. An opportunity to think creatively and get stuck in to national programmes that really support beef and lamb farmers. We’re looking for a leader, a strategic thinker and a doer. Give me a shout if you want to find out more.

Would Govt. prefer us to sell the workshop, yard, offices, stock or staff room to pay the ludicrous BPR IHT if my mum dies? 45 years of unimaginable graft, risk, sacrifice (& paying taxes) - but then shafted simply because we run a good family business & provide good stable jobs.

One of the great pleasures of harvest is when blackberry season lines up with combining. I'm currently playing my annual game of how many can I eat without getting the squits later on but it's an absolutely bumper year for them 😀. Also assuming HMRC haven't put a tax on them yet

Not a good year for the borehole pump to go. Had a spare reconditioned one in storage but that won't run either. Struggling to source another one, it's a Pleuger, star-delta type if anyone knows to one.

Dao ดาว Yes, all those ministers saying you can just give the farm away and survive seven years would need to find a different excuse to support it.
