Halfway through the season, busy time for refurbs.

Another one out the door. Bringing this one back to life with a new handle and refurb.

In some cases you can keep your favourite stick going. No warranty though 😉

Customers bat with handle damage. Will go through the full process of a handle replacement and refurb with daily posts.

Stickers removed in last pictures, then on to splicing the bat and handle to a perfect fit. The handle is then glued and clamped.

When glue has dried I use drawknife and spokeshaves to shape the handle to customers spec’s. Sticker residue is removed and then first sanding.

All minor cracks on face and edges are glued and sanded. Toe is shaped then bat has is second sanding with 180 grit.

Handle binding is fitted and custom toe guard applied.

Toe guard gets trimmed, almost completed with a final sanding, buffing and customers choice of sticker applied.

Finally a light coat of linseed oil is applied followed by the protective face and edge tape. A new grip is added to complete the process of a full refurb with a new handle.
