At the request of Vindolanda I undertook a tour on Friday with the Blind Veterans UK . Had a wonderful day with them. I was presented with this hand made plaque at the end. Prior to the tour they had already walked lond stretches of #HadriansWall path. Truly inspiring people.

Marta Alberti one of our archaeologists at Vindolanda has given us her #Top10 finds 3. Wooden water pipe (2017) There was an incredible team effort to uncover this amazing waterway, the pipes are hollowed out trunks which slot into oak blocks without an iron collar Marta Alberti
