DLD Day 4 - Yesterday, the audio on my computer broke (challenge accepted). Today, I am embracing the Youtube world (with permission) in order to record videos for my sweet students. Is it embarrassing? Yep. Do I know what I am doing? Kind of.

What a great start to DLD Week 2 - My heart needed this, to see my students' faces and hear their sweet voices. It feels like it's been so long since we have all been in the classroom and it was nice to bringing that community feeling into our homes.

DLD Tool - I have LOVED using Youtube as a platform for posting lesson videos from my phone for my students. It's great because I know that Youtube is relevant to most students and they can easily navigate it. I am posting instructional ELA and math videos, check them out!

QUOTE OF THE DAY. My new favorite thing to do: share a quote of the day and a quick challenge students can do at home. Today's quote is "You don't need a cape to be a hero. You just need to care." - Kid President. The challenge is for students to show someone they care in action!

Microsoft Teams is the BEST platform for meeting with students where they are at. The main thing we talked about today was writing stamina! I have challenged my students to either write a journal entry for themselves or a letter to their teacher DAILY and I will write them back.
