We have just arrived at the GCM AGM in solidarity with communities in #Phulbari and to represent their voices. Took a while to find the room, reminds me of how hard it is to find a successful GCM project.

Very low turnout for the GCM AGM shareholders critical of Michael Tang for a failure to answer shareholders questions. Shareholders very unhappy as Michael Tang master of not answering shareholders questions or concerns.

The GCM AGM lasted less than 9 minutes today. Usual minimal representation of GCM activities and minimal interest in engaging with, or being representative too, both shareholders and communities of #Phulbari.

Dr Rumana Hashem from Phulbari Solidarity Group challenging GCM who are bluffing their shareholders about the viability of GCMs activities. There is no current contract with the Bangladesh government and interm government asking for evidence after 17 years of no GCM projects.

Samarenda Das asked about whether GCM has published any of their community consultations. Michael Tang abruptly referred back to the website. Lack of transparency on this issue

AGM quickly wrapped up within 30 mins when a shareholders has asked whether GCM has community consent to go ahead with the project. Michael deflected rhetoric question and quickly ended agm.

As the meeting ended, chairman of GCM Paul Shackleton approached Rumana Hashem #ucuRISING Phulari Solidarity coordinator anxiously asking her about legal status of the company

GCM chaimain Paul Shackleton requested Rumana Hashem #ucuRISING if she could help them with information about Bangladesh government's plans and legal breaches of GCM. He asked Rumana to send information by direct email. Rumana politely declined to help GCM, said: can't become GCM "consultant"
