On 24 April Prof. Matthias Röhrig Assunção will take place in an interdisciplinary symposium at our Southend campus.
Matthias is an award-winning expert on capoeira. In 2015 his film 'Body Games - Capoeira and Ancestry' won the Royal Historical Society's Public History Prize for film.
Congratulations to David Perkins, one of our MA History students, who has won the Essex Society For Family History postgraduate award! This award goes to one postgraduate student working on an Essex-related subject in the field of Local or Family History. Well done, David!
