This morning we are at the Pittsburgh Regional Transit Wellness Fair at East Liberty Garage. We take this as an opportunity to get to know the operators and maintenance employees and speak to them about certain issues such as impaired driving and active shooter.

My staff and I were happy to join AAA Wexford and the Port Authority PD for a peeling license plate event. I'll be expediting the processing of these applications as part of the constituent services my office provides to the community. Thanks to all who turned out for a great event.

Thank you to the first responders who responded to our Ross garage this evening when a live wire fell, touched the wheel of a bus parked in front of the building, and sparked a fire that engulfed the bus in flames. The bus sustained heavy damage but thankfully no one was injured.

Today Lt. DiPippa, Det. Sgt. Atkins and Officers Testa and Hudek stopped down at Anthrocon, Inc. Pittsburgh.  I must say those are some pretty awesome costumes, especially McGruff the Crime Dog!!  Afterwards they stopped at a lemonade stand for a little refreshment.
