The amount of coverage given to the Green Party, who have so far won 159 seats in these elections, compared to Reform UK, who have won two, has been quite something

It means a nation once proud to stand against the abuse of human rights has surrendered all of its principles for vain political reasons.

'It seems as if every day something new we hadn't thought of comes us...' said someone on UK side Brexit negotiations.
From start to finish Brexit was ill thought thru... except for those profiting from abandonment of EU financial regulations.
Sold us a unicorn. Gave us a slug.

Deeply disturbing allegations of “ cabinet ministers” and “CCHQ staffers” secretly supportive of Anderson
The party Conservatives must either openly deny these allegations or root out the rot of racism from our ranks.
We cannot have colleagues sitting at the Cabinet table…

Sending the first 300 migrants to Rwanda costs £1.8m each. To put that in context, school funding is around £7,600 per child per year. So the cost of sending one migrant to Rwanda would get 234 children education for a year. Is that a good use of money?

This continues to be one of the most under-reported scandals in our immigration system.

45,000 visas for essential jobs in UK farming in 2023.

Workers then trapped with employers who underpay or dont give them enough work to pay off debts. Complain & you could be deported.

Boris Johnson said in 2004 that he would eat his ID at a polling station in protest if the law ever required it.

In 2022, he passed a law requiring ID to vote and dismissed criticism it would stop people voting.

In 2024, he forgot his ID when trying to vote and was turned away.

I’ve been asking this question since 2008 and the percentage of Western politicians who realize it’s a war has grown fractionally and slowly even as the evidence has become overwhelming. It was corruption and wishful thinking, now it’s pure denial.

People in Norfolk have some great lib dem candidates to choose from today- whether that's in local elections in Norwich, the by-election in Hermitage, or my colleague John Crofts for Police and Crime Commissioner.
Make it count -use your vote! 🗳️🚓🔶

Excellent article by Ben Smith - Why are Brits fairly passive in their protest? Signing petitions, liking Facebook gripes, moaning on twitter but rarely really making a noise ala the French way.
Is this why MPs ignore us?
