See y’all Tuesday afternoon at our UM-Dearborn campus! CC: One University Campaign

It's hurtful for @UMichPrezOno to say this while offering way lower-than-inflation wages to those at UM-D and UM-F. Why not ensure that all students, staff, and faculty feel valued across our three wonderfully diverse campuses?

. Santa Ono said that having the opportunity to study the arts made him a better scientist. But UM-Flint is closing its dance program. Dance classes serve as spaces for community engagement. Are UM-F students, and the Flint community, not worthy of these opportunities, Pres Ono?

We know the feeling Grad Employees' Org UMich. We've been promised bold action repeatedly, and yet austerity and zero transparency still reigns on the Dearborn and Flint campuses. We need leadership that will come through for the most vulnerable.

This is disrespectful to the incredible students at UMD/UMF. But it's not surprising. We don't claim our campuses are identical. But they deserve to be treated as valued members of the community. We need leadership-Santa Ono-that makes clear this kind of language is unacceptable

Regent Jordan Acker shouldn't take this personally. He's an elected official. It's political. Acker and others haven't kept their promises.
