If reform of the SEND system does not bring an end to this government's tax on SEND children and the support they receive simply because of where they go to school, then it will be hollow and incomplete. You can't claim to care about children with SEND whilst backing a SEND-tax.

I wish those in the public eye spoke like this more often. Thoughtful. Intellectual. Considered. In an age of headlines and soundbites, it is refreshing to see someone willing to think rather than shoot from the hip. We need far more of this type of discourse.

“This year things have got as bad as I’ve seen in my nearly 20 years of headship." “We have had to cut pretty much all areas of support staff and services." “Our entire capital budget is just £4.5k." This is the reality of education under Bridget Phillipson and The Labour Party 🥀🥀

“The UK Government has advised the Scottish Government that they have not ring-fenced the monies raised from the removal of the VAT exemption for application to schools.” Is there anybody out there still expecting the monies to arrive at state schools? heraldscotland.com/news/25472297.…

According to a survey by the CST, over 50% of school trusts are currently considering cuts to classroom staff, whilst 60% are looking at reducing TA hours. The Labour Party's policies are making it increasingly difficult for schools to recruit & retain staff. This cannot go on.

Public sector net borrowing was £18 billion in August. The state cannot go on like this. We need politicians with the courage to slash spending, shrink government and put Britain back on a sustainable path. We are bleeding taxpayers dry!!

A reminder that Helen Hayes 💙🌹 voted to tax the support & education of children with SEND just because of the school they attend. Yet here she is - along with several other members of the committee - now claiming to care about SEND issues. It's a little late to feign interest.

Didn’t Matt Rodda write a paper on the disruption caused to children when they move schools mid academic year? Matt then voted to tax children mid academic year & disrupt their education. How dare you claim to widen opportunities as you slam the door for thousands of children.

Brilliant to see the response from Canadians to this achievement. Rugby is not a "traditional" sport in Canada - there is no professional league for the women to play in. But so many people are now watching and getting behind their team. This is how rugby grows ⬇️

This is happening all over the country ⬇️ Labour's education tax is being exposed for exactly what it is - an ideological, anti-independent education policy with no benefit for state education.

The Education Secretary's call for schools to introduce an immediate uniform cap was entirely ignored. Good news. The government should stop wasting time legislating on children's clothing and try mitigating the damage they are doing to schools instead. schoolsweek.co.uk/call-for-immed…

Only 13% of the British public agree with Keir Starmer’s desire for the UK to recognise a Palestinian state without conditions. Only 11% of Labour voters agree with him. Even most Green voters disagree. More than ever, pray for the hostages. 🙏🎗️🕊️ telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/09/2…

Ironically, private schools that are inspected by Ofsted include a large number of specialist SEND schools, whose fees are typically funded by the taxpayer. Increase inspection costs, fees will go up. The result will be higher taxpayer contributions ✅
