Another publication from the computational side of the group in collaboration with Román Lab @ MIT! Excited to share our research!
Excited to share this really cool paper in ACS Central Science in collaboration with Olivetti Group @ MIT and ITQ (UPV-CSIC) . Natural language processing and machine learning tools were developed to automatically extract #zeolite synthesis information and visualize new synthesis relationships
Our new article is online! (brought to you by Olivetti Group @ MIT & Ceder Group) We discuss challenges in applying #NLP to #materials synthesis text ("methods" sections) and propose a more structured way of writing these to facilitate human & machine comprehension.
"The stakes could not be higher." —Mike Bloomberg at MIT Commencement #climatechange #MIT2019
Excited to share our most recent publication in the Journal of ACerS! In it, we discuss recent work tracking the reactivity of Indian biomass ash for use in sustainable cements. This follows our previous work developing biomass ash bricks. Enjoy! ceramics.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…
Excited to share our latest work on materials availability in Environmental Science & Technology Journals. Sharing our perspectives on cobalt supply in the near term, Ceder Group, Gabrielle Gaustad, Callie Babbitt, pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…
Our latest paper, published in CCR in collaboration with Rupert J Myers and Barbara Lothenbach, focuses on calibration for measurement of high pH--especially useful for cement and alkali activated systems! We hope this will serve the community well! authors.elsevier.com/c/1bABI21ISa~0…
5 years ago, I embarked on the crazy journey of completing a PhD at DMSE at MIT. Today, I successfully defended my thesis and can officially call myself doctor! Feels like a dream, but somehow this is reality. Thank you Elsa Olivetti Group @ MIT for being the best advisor! 🤓🤯🥳
Congratulations to Dr. Uvegi, defending his PhD thesis, “Aqueous reactivity of glassy industrial byproducts in alternative cementitious systems”. We will miss you keeping us all connected, thought-provoking questions, and distractions. +social media skills, how'd I do, Hugo Uvegi?
Excited to share our latest publication with Ceder Group: Manufacturing scalability implications of materials choice in inorganic solid-state batteries cell.com/joule/fulltext…
Excited to share our recent review on text and data mining in materials science with Edward Kim Ceder Group Drs. Han and Hiszpanski at LLNL and Prof. Cole at Cambridge, aip-scitation-org.libproxy.mit.edu/doi/10.1063/5.…
Check our collaborative paper on natural language processing + generative models to explore thousands of synthesis routes for understanding OSDA-zeolite outcomes. Now published ACS Central Science with great collaborators Olivetti Group @ MIT ITQ (UPV-CSIC) and more. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…
Check out our new publication out in Nature Reviews Materials on the materials communities' role in decarbonizing materials production! Nature Portfolio rdcu.be/czqhO with co-authors Jeremy Gregory , Vrindaa Somjit
Materials science can reduce the greenhouse gas emissions burden of materials production. In their new Review, Elsa Olivetti and colleagues discuss strategies to decarbonize cement, metals and petrochemical industries Olivetti Group @ MIT DMSE at MIT go.nature.com/3lypi9A
