Final league game of the season today and a win for the Xavs! Sadly the win was awarded because our opponents did not turn up. No notice or explanation, just clearly didn't fancy it. Not great given the usual stellar reputation of the club in question but 3 points it is.

All you grassroot managers/volunteers out there - enjoy your end of season break. Relax / be open minded and be self motivated again when July /pre season comes around. Important you all switch off, managing now is so emotionally draining from August-April/May-a credit to ur club

Marlborough Trophy result: Old Xaverians A-Team 1 - Alumni FC 2nd team 1. Goal ryan Milner - Xavs win 4-3 on pens! Brilliant night. We had to be at our best to beat the league champions but we deservedly edged it. Credit to our opponents for a fantastic game. #upthexavs

Last night was also my last game managing the team. It's been brilliant and I couldn't think of a better way to go out. Thank you to all the players, committee members at the Xavs and all the opposition players, teams, refs in the Old Boys for contributing to a great experience.
