The loss of Birmingham Jazz & Blues Festival would be a crime and further cement Birmingham falling behind peers like Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Bristol etc. in cultural provision for its residents and tourists. Culture is for life, not just The Commonwealth Games!

Station Street was supposed to be a thriving gateway to the city of Birmingham The birthplace of Black Sabbath, the UK's oldest working cinema, first repertory theatre & Brummies have been let down by a decade of broken promises Time for civic leaders to make amends

Check out this incredible Black Sabbath mural (created by Mr Murals) that is currently in the works on Navigation Street in town (a stone's throw away from The Crown where the band played their first ever gig under their original name, Earth). 🤘 BIRMINGHAM FOREVER 🤘

Hearing that The Crown's been subject to more vandalism (flyposting). We've been asking 東横イン/東横INN【公式】 & Birmingham council to sort the graffiti out for months. The lack of action or enforcement is staggering. Especially considering how close the final Black Sabbath concert is.

With Station Street, The Crown & Electric, Birmingham residents are being let down. Taking heart from Grace Petrie lyrics though: But I think it could be beautiful If we could only keep from losing heart Then we might still Have time to build something better from the parts

Spent the day on the sofa with COVID watching Blinded By The Light, Sunshine on Leith & Yesterday. This appears to be a new strain that makes you want to watch slightly cheesy jukebox musicals and is prone to making you well up at them. 🥹🤦🏼‍♂️

Pleased to see Richard Parker signed up to this. If Liverpool can predict generating £11m p/yr... Imagine the self-perpetuating investment we could deliver into arts, culture & tourism projects like Station Street and wider across the West Midlands. theguardian.com/uk-news/2025/j…
