At Goldsmiths University of London 62 have agreed to leave, 17 people have been redeployed, there are 18 people with their situation unresolved until this evening. As a union branch we're trying to save those 18. @goldsmithsucu

And an occupation and rallies outside RHB. SMT need to be held accountable for their actions. There are people’s livelihoods and futures at stake. Not to mention staff and student morale and wellbeing which is currently through the floor. These people don’t care about education.

“I didn’t sign up to do history; I signed up to do queer history.” - Beau Brannick, PT Queer History MA student. Yet another devastating, if unsurprising, act of cultural vandalism from SMT. These people are not fit to run a university, particularly one like Goldsmiths.

HR speak in #universities "Established HR procedures" means "Lies, cover-ups & other semi-criminal behaviour" "We take bullying seriously..." means "We couldn't give a shit..." "If you complain, the Professor may retaliate" means "Shut up, or we'll investigate you" #academia

Shame on you FC. You don’t care about critical education, nor the lived experiences of queer people. If you did, you wouldn’t have axed the Queer History MA. Put your money where your mouth is or resign.

Knowledge is power!!! We still don’t know the full impact of the Transformation Programme, but if your course of study has been axed then please let us know. In addition, if you’ve lost a supervisor or optional module/s we want to hear from you!

Apparently Feminist Writing, Poetry since 1945 and Black British Literature aren’t important enough modules to remain on an English and Creative course. Absolutely outrageous!!!

More administrative chaos exacerbated by the Transformation Programme. We have not forgotten about the ‘Recovery Programme’ that also happened in recent years where many administrators and support staff were made redundant.
