Our Class 1 Lifeboat Crew got to return to the water for the first time this year for essential training. As well as following covid-safe practices our crew were able to practice towing techniques, man overboard & fire drills. They're smiling under those masks.

This Sunday we will be attending the Féile na hAbhann on the River Lagan. This promises to be a great community event & there will be a popup vaccination centre at the Shaftesbury Centre. Keep an eye out for our volunteers both on the bankside and on the water.

Delighted to announce that following a successful application to the DAERA Rural Community Rescue Scheme, we will be receiving funding which will enable us to replace some response vehicles & purchase a brand new Class 2 lifeboat. LSAR is an independent lifeboat and acute water rescue service that serves the River Lagan, Belfast Harbour and out into Belfast Lough. The 999 emergency service is run and operated entirely by volunteers and operates out of Belfast Harbour Marina. #qavs2022 #VolunteersWeek2022
