This day 3rd July 2018 , marks the 50th Anniversary of #BabyComeBack having reached the number one position on the UK Official Charts. The Equals were young, energetic and with this recording launched themselves into the orbit previously occupied by their heroes

and those whose works they admired. I congratulate John Hall, Lincoln and Dervan Gordan and Patrick Lloyd The Equals for being there with me as we tried to make England and by extension the rest of the world, a little happier and to show what can be achieved when people,

especially young people, put their hands and hearts together. I would like to extend my sincere and most appreciative and humble thanks to those multitudes of fans and friends around the world, who actually bought "Baby Come Back", thereby giving a future

to five ordinary North London boys who have helped to influence others to do the same. This is indeed a special day in the lives of ourselves, our families, fans and supporters, all of whom know who they are.
