In our Norsk Polarinstitutt // Norwegian Polar Institute fieldwork preparations, we trained on using a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) on landfast sea ice at Ramfjorden, near Tromsø. The ROV helps us inspect the underside of the sea ice. First proper use next week, in Kongsfjorden, Svalbard! (instagram.com/p/C6OXiYFo7Nd/)

Last week, @oceanseaicenpi scientists participated at #EGU24 in Vienna, Austria to present #ArcticOcean research results from #HAVOC , The Nansen Legacy, A-TWAIN, InterAAC, and other current projects.

New paper Elementa: Science of the Anthropocene, led by Moein Mellat AWI Media, on a comprehensive dataset of #Arctic snow, sea ice and surface seawater stable water isotopes collected during the full year of the MOSAiC Expedition drift will help to enlighten Arctic water cycles.
