But we have money to waste on an Austrian spa, a bogus new Science Centre, speeding up alcohol sales at convenience stores, election bribe cheques and bogus media ads as just political promotion. The Ford government is wasteful and disrepects taxpayers. thestar.com/politics/provi…

If you thought the exodus from the education worker professions and student and staff safety issues in schools were already at a crisis point in #OntEd… just wait for Act 2 of the Conservative School Privatization Agenda.

#NEW: the Ford government will be giving every teacher in Ontario a $750 card to buy classroom supplies starting this fall. It can be used to purchase arts & crafts materials, stationary products, posters & decor, paper towels & tissues.

I really can't emphasize enough how embarassing today's press conference and announcement were. A $750 purchasing card for a government portal that doesn't exist yet, accusations of reporters "misleading the public", terrible anecdotes, and just...overall a mess.

For clarity: trustees didn't go on the Blue Jays trip. Staff did, but trustees were sidelined for it. 71/72 school boards didn't go to Italy, but the board that did? Not under supervision. Expenses? Should we start looking at MPP riding expenses? Maybe.🤷‍♀️ #onted #onpoli

“In Peel, and likely more boards to come, hundreds of teachers have been declared surplus and could lose their jobs. There may soon be fewer teachers in classrooms to support students, and yet the government is announcing supply cards. That shows just how disconnected this

Students are paying attention - and yesterday’s walkouts proved it. High school students across our community organized and walked out over the changes to OSAP. This is about their future. Young people shouldn’t have to fight this hard just to access education - but I’m proud to

Instead of giving elementary schools appropriate funding in Ontario, teachers will be given $750.00 for schools supplies?? So with their classroom numbers exploding, less per student than ever, I guess Ford hopes teachers will keep kids busy with colouring ?? Encouraging
