Furthermore, use this day as one to honor but make sure this isn’t the only day you honor MLK and his legacy. Take the time to truly research and educate yourself on what our country was founded upon and the challenges that still exist.

Challenge yourself to learn about the impacts of colonialism and slavery and the other inequities that people of underrepresented backgrounds continue to face on a daily basis. We can all be better and learn together towards a new future.
