OSP recently came to the aid of a pair of grounded baby American Barn Owls in Baker County. The owlets had been found on the ground near a large haystack. Troopers retrieved the orphaned owlets, which were transported to Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife for further care.

Traffic Alert: I-84 is now CLOSED between the City of Troutdale at MP 17 and #HoodRiver at MP 64 due to an incoming ice storm. Ice accumulation creates some of the most treacherous driving conditions. We'll reopen when conditions improve. Avoid travel in this area. #orwx #pdxtst
Crews are watching conditions carefully and could initially close the hwy between #Troutdale and #HoodRiver IF NEEDED. There's also a possibility a closure would extend further east as conditions change. Prepare to stay in place if necessary - there may not be other viable routes

OSP is seeking info. regarding the vandalism of road signs in #WascoCounty . Seven ODOT signs were cut down and removed between Dec. 15-20, 2023. Signs were removed from US 97, OR 293 & OR 218. Call *OSP (*677) with any info.
