OSP recently came to the aid of a pair of grounded baby American Barn Owls in Baker County. The owlets had been found on the ground near a large haystack. Troopers retrieved the orphaned owlets, which were transported to Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife for further care.

A distracted driver in Clackamas County is fortunate to have survived this crash on Hwy 224 & SE Tong Rd. The vehicle drove off the roadway after the driver took their eyes off the roadway and landed approx. 200 ft. down an embankment. #safety

An I-5 traffic stop in Linn County led to the seizure of 42 lbs of meth, 7 lbs of heroin, a loaded pistol, and cocaine. News release: bit.ly/OSP_News

OSP is seeking public assistance to identify suspect(s) involved in vehicle shootings in Linn County. To date, 5 incidents have been reported. While there are no injuries, detectives have confirmed vehicle damage caused by a firearm. bit.ly/OSP_News

On Thanksgiving Day, OSP troopers found 15 abandoned dogs in a stolen U-Haul. The dogs, and 10 others, were rescued and placed in the care of a local animal shelter. Two suspects were arrested for animal abandonment and animal neglect.
