What are we doing to ensure that our education system in Ontario is still functioning? Because it sure looks like it's in crisis. At the very least, we should be able to agree that 'back to basics' involves a qualified educator teaching the class — shouldn't we, @sflecce?

When governments don’t lead “precautionary principle” we end up like this, and it’s probably “more than” and nowhere has been made safe, adult covid deniers so proud to be trolls

Ashley Fox RPN We are not providing enough support for new parents, nor are we putting adequate measures in place to prevent the transmission of illness in daycares and schools.

Is this the kind of stable and “back to basics” learning you have in store for students? My child is up and at it daily, ready to absorb all her teachers want to impart.

Massive problem here.

MJNabuurs Stephen Lecce Ontario School Safety Far too many kids are being put in this position.

Wallpapering the holes only worked for a short period of time. The hole just got bigger and bigger.

Too many teachers are sick, or fed up with the low pay, over-filled classrooms, lack of support & increased bureaucracy.

😢

And we know many of the reasons why.

As the 🌎 decided to follow the lead of govt/pub health officials, many others decided to continue using the tools we currently have to prevent infection spread, while fighting for others - like clean indoor air.

Ontario School Safety Stephen Lecce Doug Ford I just don't get it. It's a win-win! If they clean the air, they'll be able to boast the following:
- improved student attendance and test scores
- less teacher shortages
- better economy overall because everyone is healthier and can make/spend more money

The money is there.
The research is there.
The need is there.

Now all we need is YOU! We need YOU to take action to improve the air quality in schools.

If you are a parent, or teacher, and want to advocate for better indoor air quality in your school, here is a different 1-hr video that can help you get started (with a ton of other resources).

Literally every federal and state agency (relating to health & education) is (finally) calling for better indoor air quality.

If you are a school leader, and don't know where to start ... my free 1-hr video can be a great intro for you:

Quote from that letter: 'Making targeted improvements to school infrastructure, including HVAC investments, to enhance indoor air quality and environmental safety that keep students healthy in school.'

OK, great! Done quickly and done well, this could be a major game changer. There's a lot of work to be done, so I hope things get underway ASAP. Cleaner indoor air will save lives, now and into the future!

They have $30M to watch, but not enough to invest in clean indoor air which is known to help ⬆️ mental health, ⬆️ physical health, and ⬇️ much of the relentless sickness that’s plaguing students and edu workers (e.g., C-19 known to impair part of brain needed 4 behaviour mgmnt).

Sadly, as Covid is allowed to continue infecting and reinfecting children, the number of children becoming disabled will increase…leaving more kids with disabled siblings and, gawd forbid, even families with multiple children disabled.

Christine Cooper💪🙋‍♀️🦹‍♀️ 🇨🇦 Wes Wilson Ziyad Al-Aly, MD ReSisters The part where he explained the difference between flu and covid was horrifying 😳

This explanation reminded me we shouldn't have zero mitigation in schools.

Our government needs to change path. 🇨🇦
