Something that fucks me up about Sephiroth is the fact that he felt shameful and burdened when called by his name and rank by Genesis. To Shinra, he’s no hero. He’s just a weapon; A monster. A loyal monster that carries out the wishes of it’s owner and that pushed him to the edge

Sephiroth's expressions in Crisis Core are actually heartbreaking because you see the confusion and child like heartbreaking upon learning the truth, that the person he tried so hard to be crumbled once realising that it was pointless to ignore how he was used.

Thinking about how Sephiroth's autonomy was taken away from him since the fetal stage makes me genuinely ill. Like as a fetus he was injected with extraterrestrial parasite creature cells. They found a random being & said okay let's put this in some babies and see what happens.

The way this was unconsciously like a cry for help from Sephiroth. Him wanting to be honest and upfront with others and hopefully find connection or understanding, but by this point feeling too drained to expect much from anyone after losing those he cared for.
