Earlier today, IMSAR met with Bridge To Rise Rwanda, the first local company offering agricultural certification services to exporters. The company was born out of our Control Union intervention that aims to train local auditors on certain international certifications.
Following the launch of agri-finance products in April, Equity Bank Rwanda PLC has signed a partnership agreement with Umujyojyo Investment Group Plc, a local youth agribusiness company, to grow the Rwandan agri-finance space through focused financing and advisory services. For more, read below๐
This week, IMSAR and its mushroom sector partner, DEYI Ltd, met with ActionAid Rwanda to find ways to collaborate to improve the lives of potentially 60,000 women in Rwanda. DEYI Ltd is involved in oyster mushroom production and provides spawns, tubes, and trainings to farmers.
Last week, IMSAR along with Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office went to see the innovative village agent sourcing model under the partnership with Sarura in the Eastern province of Rwanda. ย The model shows much promise with both agents and SHFs benefitting through better market access and reliability.
