Every day, the workers of the ACLU work tirelessly to defend all of our rights. Our union will benefit not only ourselves, but our clients and communities. We are proud to carry on the ACLU’s 100-year legacy of supporting the right to organize and bargain collectively.

The ACLU began with our founders taking action to fight the anti-union crusades of the 1920s. As the workers of the ACLU today, we believe that the principles and values we defend should govern our offices as well: justice, equity, transparency, cooperation, and respect.

We believe in the mission of the ACLU, the work we do, and each other. We look forward to being voluntarily recognized by management and beginning contract negotiations, as any other response would be inconsistent with our organization’s history, public positions, and values.

Dividing workers between different bargaining units is a known anti-union tactic. Equality California your staff deserve better. Live up to your values and stop the bad faith union busting approach.
