At Nomad's Land, watching an eagle is based on a number of legal and moral rules. Our eagle partners all have legal authorisation to train and hunt eagles. You won't see a rabbit sacrificed for your eyes, but a completely traditional training session.

This mountain refuge is unique in Kyrgyzstan. Built in 1948, then abandoned after 1998, Nomad's Land financed and repaired the roof of this magnificent building in 2004. Today, the station is open and running.

Some of the recently handmade Uzbek kilim rugs from Maymana, Faryab Province, Afghan-Turkestan.

With the Taliban occupation of northern Afghanistan, the Turkic carpet industry has been decimated.

Peak Lenin, the easiest of the 7000 metres, but not as easy as all that. It's important to acclimatise well before the ascent. There's no point in going too fast.
