Here’s some pair sorting Rob Somerville 4 riders today. Approx 5 acre pen. Herd stays at one end, furthest from the gate we’re sorting to. Pairs drift out or the ones near the edge of the herd we can get we take. The head on their own after the first dozen or so.
Great #LFCE summer field day, hosted by Canadian Western Agribition, followed by our Saskatchewan Forage annual general meeting and supper. Thanks Livestock & Forage Centre of Excellence for your hospitality! #foragepartners #workingtogether #wcdnag
Many thanks to retiring Saskatchewan Forage directors @JillianBainard and Sarah Sommerfeld. We'll miss you both! President Mark McNinch presenting to Sarah.
Quite happy with slender wheatgrass in this alfalfa grass blend. Really showing up in the lowland. Meadow brome and fescue start showing up on the high ground (above the line). It’s not going to totally choke out the foxtail but giving it a run for its money. Union Forage

Thank you to all the Parliamentarians and staff who joined us for great conversation over a nutritious burger supporting sustainable #CdnBeef production Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (CRSB). Best wishes for a productive fall session. #cattlecountry
Canadian ranchers raise the best beef in the world, which I had the pleasure of serving up with the Canadian Cattle Association in Ottawa today for a delicious lunch. Canadian beef is healthy, nutritious, and feeds both Canada and the world. Let's make more of it right here at home.
Hopefully this is the key to remote water troughs to keep you in the loop when the water level is low it works off cell service #livestockwater Daniel Doerksen @lazymbarranch Mark McNinch Kent Holowath 🧢 Dr Bart Lardner 🇨🇦 Sask Beef Industry Conference Beef Cattle Research Council Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (CRSB)
