…the main deal with Jesus is that we trust him. Trust in the uncertainty, trust in the cancellations, trust in the lack, trust in the plenty. Let your fear of WHATEVER drive you to his feet, because it is only there we find an inexplicable safety and freedom.

I wish my kids’ high school had a class called “essays and scholarships” and all they did was research, write and edit. Cash prize for the kid who applies for the most scholarships. I’ll chip in the first $100 😂🙌🏽

people follow people. Your leadership, therefore, is much more about who you are and how you act than your competency or success. Competency is a baseline; character is the legacy.

I visited an AA meeting in Manhattan tonight celebrating a dear friend who’s 2 yrs sober. I witnessed more hope, healing and redemption, and (dare I say) I heard more actual gospel in that hour than you’ll get in 90% of US churches in a month of Sundays. I get it.

You can be sad and strong at the same time, moms and dads. It’s ok to feel lots of things as you send off your kindergartener/middle schooler/high schooler/college kid. Let yourself be a little fragile— it makes you human.

I need to take a moment to brag on Delta. Last month I left my laptop in a Skyclub in Detroit on my way to an offsite in San Diego. As you can imagine, I was immediately freaking out, when 30 minutes into our flight I reached into my bag--no laptop. [1/3]

I messaged my husband on Delta's free wifi and he managed to get in touch with the Sky Club. They had my laptop and ensured it would get to lost baggage. The next morning, I had a personal email from the baggage office. They had my laptop and asked if I could pick it up. 2/3

of course, I was now in California. Sue in the baggage office not only instructed me where to send her a shipping label, she packed up my laptop with care and emailed me when it shipped out. Within 30 hours, I had my laptop with me in CA. Delta is truly the best in the business.

“This is NOT what I signed up for!” Have you ever said that? I have. But what if there’s a purpose to this difficult season? What if it’s in life’s twists & turns and in-between spaces where God is growing something essential in your soul? Nicole Unice 413podcast.com/316
