Ginny Andersen Might be tough for Labour to understand, but having a former firearms safety educator and expert in charge of writing effective gun laws is actually a good thing. Considering Labour weakened gun laws in December 2018 it's time we had informed opinions and not emotional rhetoric

Jack doesn’t get it, or he doesn’t want to get it. I absolutely raised the issue of high-capacity magazines with the then-Police Minister. It’s not in the report because it wasn’t the reason I was there to advise her and it was outside the scope of the illegal firearms inquiry.

How good is it to have a Minister for Children who understands so deeply the importance of each child's safety and wellbeing being a priority without regard for race 🥰

If you define “public good” as the government spending money (as the Greens do), the public good is about 40% bigger than it was 40 years ago.* If things aren’t better, you might want to consider whether your worldview is wrong. Talking points are 🤡/10. *Core Crown spending

Q: Aren’t these principles new and dangerous? A: They include such fringe concepts as “laws should be clear,” “individual liberty matters,” and “governments should explain themselves.” Revolutionary stuff. But only if you’ve recently emerged from the 14th century.

I love the assumption that growing up in poverty must mean I lived in state housing and on a benefit. Classic. Because clearly there's only one kind of poverty, right? For the record, I’ve been working since I was 14 - wild concept, I know.
