What I find amusing about many responses is that Emma Pike tells people that they are not powerless and they can do something to reduce nuclear threats. And (many) people are, like, 'Why does she tell us that we have power? Leave it to 'experts'.'

One side of the nuclear discourse doesn't want you to know this, but all three pillars of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (nonproliferation, peaceful uses, and disarmament) were crucial to the indefinite extension of the Treaty in 1995.
