It is crucial that we don't embed longstanding inequality by underfunding vocational post-16 education. I asked the government to ensure that teachers in FE colleges get the same pay rise as those in schools.

Also important to note that some Post 16 teachers will get the 5.5% pay rise…but only those in Sixth Form Colleges that have capitulated and acadamised. Post 16 needs fair investment and funding. All of it!
