Thank you to everyone who voted for us here in Newark. I'm sorry it wasn't enough. There will be time for debate, but I know we can and we will win again. Too many are depending on it. In the meantime we must fight for the country and the communities that we love.

A final thing before I go spend some time with family. To every Labour activist & supporter. Perhaps the most precious gifts you can give in life are your labour and your love. To give them to cause greater than yourself is something for which you should always be proud.

I ran against Robert in GE19. He should answer these questions in full. I say again, what I said during the election. MP's should base themselves in the constituency. He is being given funding to do so, even when many in the constituency struggle for housing

The idea that Robert Jenrick can simply ignore these questions is an insult to the voters of Newark who put him there. It really is a prime example of one rule for them and another for the rest of us.thetimes.co.uk/article/robert…

If Robert Jenrick did use the company he set up to reclaim £160k in VAT that would be just below the average cost of a home in Newark. It'd mean that while families in Newark were busy working to pay bills, their MP was busy making sure he reduced his tax bill.

It's great to be out on Newark Market to mark #hatecrimeawarenessweek and help raise awareness of hate crime, it's impacts and what we can do to support those affected.
