I made the '30 Years of Speeches' vid for Bernie in 2016. But after Yang, I now only support Pro-UBI candidates. I follow back to amplify progressive messaging.

A paralyzed man chose MAiD after being left on a stretcher for four days without proper care.

This is a dire wake-up callβ€”when it's easier to opt for assisted death than it is to receive basic care, we've failed.

People want to work, improve their situation, to enrich themselves in multiple ways, work on enthusiasms. What they don't want is the system of stagnated wages, bad faith offers, ghost jobs, bait and switch and bs jobs.

How to fight back?
Raise the damn floor.

My ancestors fought for the Confederacy and I think more people should be doing this. πŸ‘‡

Simping for a failed rouge ethnostate predicated upon slavery that lasted barely 5 years, less time than the entire run of Hannah Montana, is pathetic loser behavior.

As a musician and supporter, I'm like, 'Guys, remember Napster? We've done this one. We've done it where the ground caved beneath us, and it wasn't anyone's fault for not doing this or that.'

And what got us here? Us. Like six degrees of separation, we all did.

Most of our skilled workers are stuck in . Providing systemic and/or redundant entities with infrastructure, tools and software. Wasting most of our resources and energy in the process.

But we're still being told that we lack skilled workers.

'Poverty and ' is killing us. Faster and faster.

Our entire existence is at stake.

Our children will look back and wonder, 'Why didn't journalists address anything relevant? Over the course of decades?'

Few people are failing humanity quite like journalists.

Retired police chief says that if given $5 billion, he'd spend $1 billion on law enforcement and the rest on reducing poverty and inequality.

'The best crime prevention is increased opportunity and reduced poverty. That’s the best way to reduce crime.'

How much do I think the monthly amount of Universal Basic Income should be? Any amount greater than $0 but preferably at least $200. Even more preferably high enough to lift all above the poverty line so $1255. And optimally IMO set at 25% of GDP per capita, which would be $1730.

Here's a thought to simmer on your mental stovetop:

Unconditional Basic Income isn't just about putting money in more pockets and security in more souls. It's about acknowledging that our greatest resource isn't gold, oil or dataβ€”it's human potential. Unleashing that? Priceless.

The idea of having to earn a living implies that by default you don’t actually deserve to be alive.

Being alive shouldn’t be a debt we’re born into, where survival is contingent on economic output.

Universal Basic Income affirms life’s value beyond economic output.

A big factor here is unaffordable housing.

It now takes *25 years* for the average young couple to save for a deposit in London. Similar in San Francisco & New York.

To state the obvious, Millennial homeowners in these cities didn’t save for 25 years, they got parental help.
