Roads, libraries, mail, waste collection, police, firefighters and primary schools are services provided to all.

Society rightly decided public services shouldn’t be means-tested, so why means-test basic income and public health insurance?

We need and Universal Healthcare!

It has been tested in various countries, with positive effects on health, wellbeing and social participation.

Universal Basic Income doesn’t need to be studied more.

has been studied over & over & over again, it’s massively successful every single time!

What we need is public pressure, reforms to make legislators more responsive & courage from politicians to be real leaders!

Why wait until people are 62 to ensure they have a guaranteed income (social security)?

18-61 year olds should have a UBI too.

Providing money earlier in life helps our people afford education, save to buy a home, start businesses, date/get married, or even save for retirement!

One reason Universal Basic Income (UBI) is better than Social Security (SS) for assisting the poor is because poor people don’t live as long on average.

Poor people would be guaranteed UBI, which could help them live longer, but it’s no guarantee they’ll reach SS retirement age.

The idea of having to earn a living implies that by default you don’t actually deserve to be alive.

Being alive shouldn’t be a debt we’re born into, where survival is contingent on economic output.

Universal Basic Income affirms life’s value beyond economic output.

How much do I think the monthly amount of Universal Basic Income should be? Any amount greater than $0 but preferably at least $200. Even more preferably high enough to lift all above the poverty line so $1255. And optimally IMO set at 25% of GDP per capita, which would be $1730.
