A game using hyrdraulics? An orignal creation that tested the players' strength! The arcade provided an opportunity for students to pair Science with imagination!

Swish! This basketball game was complete with light and sound circuit. The electric buzzer celebrated each basket our primary students made! The Micro:bit was coded to be a communication board to announce messages to the players! What a fun afternoon!

Carrots or aluminum foil? What should we use to make our game controller? The grade 6's prepare for our Primary student gallery walk to show their Makey creations. Students experimented with conductors and built circuits that connected to computer code! #ddsbschools #bcf

BCF grade sevens had the best time at our Skilled Trades/STEM field trip to Ontario Skills! There was so much to see and do, including getting some hands-on time at the Plumbing workshop learning how to use a blow torch! #OSC

BCF is busy creating tomorrow's engineers! Intermediate students built miniature shelters and coded their Micro:bits to be temperature sensors. They tested how well their shelters were insulated and recorded their temperature data. "So cool!" #microbit
